Families First Mobile Pantry - Families First is HHFB's mobile food pantry and the agency's only direct-service program. Families First is designed to provide nutritional foods to underserved regions and areas of concentrated need in our service area. The mobile pantry program first began in the Spring of 2008 with a grant from Charity Projects Entertainment Fund. It began with two sites in Lawrence County. Since 2008, Families First Mobile Pantry recieved grants and funding to start up two new locations to disburse food in southern Indiana. The Families First mobile pantry is currently serving about 440 households each month in Lawrence, Martin, and Orange counties. A mobile food pantry service is offered, free of charge, at four sites each month. These Mobile Pantries are supported by the Lawrence County Community Foundation, Martin County Community Foundation, Orleans Community Foundation and the Walmart Foundation.
