September is Hunger Action Month!

TAKE ACTION:

1) Give Food

Saturday, September 13th, 11a.m. - 3p.m.

Hunger Action Month Community Food Drive!!

-Please help by filling a grocery bag with non-perishable food items and set out on your porch or driveway for volunteers to pick up within Bloomington City limits.

-Your bag should be visible from the street.
-If we miss your bag, please call us. We will pick up any remaining bags on Monday, September 15.
-Donations can also be dropped at any Bloomington fire station in HHFB's collection barrels.

2) VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are needed to help with the Community Food Drive and many other projects. Learn about one-time projects and our ongoing volunteer needs from Volunteer Coordinator, Kim Kanney. IU and community groups, individuals, and families are welcomed and encouraged to get involved during Hunger Action Month and throughout the year.

3) ADVOCATE - Visit the Hunger Action Center

The Hunger Action Center is a national online community whose goal is to support policies that help solve America’s growing hunger crisis, while raising public awareness about the issue of hunger in our country. Our advocates are active in cities and towns across the United States, working to make a real difference in the lives of their neighbors and all Americans who are at risk of hunger.
