33rd Annual Bloomington Community Book Fair

book fair

Hoosier Hills Food Bank will host the Bloomington Community Book Fair this October 6th-11th at the Monroe County Fair Grounds. We accept genlty used books, CDs, DVDs, records, games and puzzles at the Hoosier Hills Food Bank Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m (2333 W. Industrial Park Dr). For more infomation, please call (812) 334-8374 or e-mail Ryan at volunteer@hhfoodbank.org.

We are honored to be the new home of this beloved community event. For more than 30 years, we've promoted a message of sustainability – that too much food is wasted and should instead be channeled to people at risk of hunger. In many ways, the same is true of used books. We can't afford to be a throwaway society – not with food, not with books and certainly not with people. 2016 Schedule Below.

Volunteer

We couldn't have accepted the undertaking of sorting thousands of books without the dedication of the committee of roughly 30 volunteers.  We are always looking for more volunteers to join the sorting efforts.  Please e-mail Ryan at volunteer@hhfoodbank.org for more information. Scheduling is flexible.

Become a Sponsor

The fair is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, and with more than 4,000 people visiting the fair in an average year, becoming a sponsor is a great way to not only support HHFB, but to get your company’s name out in the community.  Sponsorship opportunities at a variety of levels are still available. Please call Jake at (812) 334-8374 or e-mail office@hhfoodbank.org for more information.
